What is the best camouflage for southern Massachusetts

Like the title says, I'm looking for a new set of camouflage. There is really nothing out there that is helping me in my search so I figured I'd ask for some help. I'm planning on picking up a new combat uniform, but because I can only afford one, I need it to be effective all year long (not including in snow). I am caught between A-tacs AU (there are those who argue it does work well in foliage and I can see how it will work well in winter here) and A-tacs FG. I will consider Multicam but I like how A-tacs is sort of unique. I was wondering if anyone out there can offer me any advice.
FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW: my AO is almost jungle-like in late spring/summer with lots of foliage but is a drab grey/brown color once the leaves and plants die.
P.S. I am new to this site so please be patient if I screw up

ATACS FG works great in the south east United States... I have them and they work great! Now, most people will say, "ATACS looks like crap", and that's true... But once they get shot from the MED because they didn't see you, they'll realize why some people buy them...

+1 on the atacs fg. They work quite well.

I have a similar environment to yours, in MD. I run solid coyote in the winter or MARPAT woodland year round. In the summerhere, it is so dense it doesn't really matter what you wear as long as there is green in it. For summer, I would say MARPAT woodland, CADPAT TW, ATACS FG, or Kryptek Mandrake for the lulz. I personally wouldn't reccomend Multicam for anything outside of fall or winter because it is way too tan.

Wrong Multicam will work perfect. I live near pines and it works amazingly.

(sigh) I guess you're right. I'll go with the Tru-Spec ACU in multicam then, it matches my chest rig and hat anyways. I'm just a little upset about no A-tacs. I love the stuff but get the same results that Multicam is more versatile everywhere I look. If anyone else can support A-tacs please speak up and post, otherwise, I'm going with Multicam and will order soon. Thanks y'all.

Not really. It absolutely blows in my area, I use it though, because it's what I have. Multicam is somewhat okay for most areas. Something specific to your area will work a helluva lot better. If you have a lot of greens, definitely try AOR2, ATACS FG or Kryptek Mandrake. Multicam is not a universal end all camo, despite what people think.

In the winter, dirty your cammies up a bit with local soil. It will help immensely. If it's snowy, just get a white or white with specks of green smock to wear. You can find surplus military ones for cheap.

Haha I didn't mean to be literal, whoops!

But I do think multicam is a safe choice I you dot have a lot of money to put into multiple loadouts and you play in a large variety of areas, like i do.

But if you have one overwhelming environment, go specific like this good sir says, absolutely.

Still caught between Multicam and FG, not really convinced either way... I already have gear in MC... how will that look with an FG uniform.. and also, ACU or BDU when it comes to the shirt
just so you know, I only run a chest rig and MC ball cap. that's all the camo I will keep

Finally ordered the Multicam. Might include a shemagh/face wrap. will try to post pictures of the loadout on this thread. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!
P.S. I'm thinking of trying to make a ghillie-like thing (similar to the ones by tactical concealment) out of my old fake ACU and whatever else I can find. but that's another thread... HAHA I will keep u posted on that!
