Before somebody even says something about personal preference i know and i preach this but i want to see what the community votes for. So Christmas times a coming and all im putting on is a airsoft gun and some truck parts.

So I currently have a butchered M16 with a SR25 front end.

Looking into something else looking into getting back into G36s I had a great build which i sadly traded for the above weapon. Im also looking into different guns though such as the

CA SL8

CA FAL

CA G3A3

LCT AMD65 Tactical

King arms L1A1

As my understanding goes the CA SL8 and the King Arms L1A1 are both discontinued ...

Are you wanting a long gun or a carbine? Because you have quite a spread if sizes listed.

If you like G36s but want something not commonly seen look at the King Arms FAL PARA Carbine. I just picked one up and I'm a huge G36 fan. Little low on the FPS out of the box but nothing a new spring couldn't solve. Out of 10 shots thru the chrono only one wasn't 330 FPS and it read 328. Also with an 8.4 volt it spit out 12.8 rounds per second. Now mags are expensive and it only comes with a 90 rounder and the battery is a 8 pack AA style (again doesn't come with it) but both are small issues compared to the performance. The gun was maybe 10 feet shy of my G36 at 379 FPS w/TBB and Upgraded bucking. This gun has taken over the position as my main field gun and once tweaked with a higher spring, more mags, and a 9.6 volt battery I may never pick up my G36 again.

One side note they are a real pain to work on since the gear box is in there real tight and there is no wiggle room at all.

If they are id rather get one now before they disappear off the shelves. The L1a1 has been for a while though.

Really it does not matter to me. Id be turning the SL8 into a shorter platform with a K front end. I used to use a G36E in a CQB setting and it was not that hard to wield. Most guns ive posted have good reports of range which barrel lengths does not really effect. Ive done research into all and all need some work. The LCT the most because of the iffy compression the CYMA 28 gearbox it runs.

Oh the CA SA58 OSW gets it for me,don't ask me why but its the only airsoft replica that looks at home with a big ugly PEQ box bolted on to the side of it.

We all know know that I am not CA's biggest fan but I can honestly say that if I had the funds then I would most certainly drop it on the OSW,,,more so since the recent ownership of a CA SL8-2 has gone some way to restoring my faith in the brand.

I must admit that the LCT AMD-65 also has a tendency to shove its hand down the front of my jocks but might I point you in the direction of the VFC AIMS PMC or the upcoming Real Sword Type 56-2 tactical.

you did bring up a good point about ops and the FAL only using high and uber high (1K rounds). If you are going to a lot of ops then I would say the AK or the G3. I would lean more towards the VFC ak that hairyman posted. Its really sexy and i love it and i want one. But i think you need to choose if you are going to alot of ops or just play local, then choose which gun fits that criteria. Just my two cents

for your next gun i would go with the ca fal because you already have a long range gun. the ca fal is from my experience, well built, and is a gun that stand out from other guns... theres not many people that have this gun. but you can still find parts for it and upgrades are also easy to find. plus classic army builed there guns very well... even though im a tokyo marui guy!

Thanks hairy I was worried that it would be like there G36 which is a one piece barrel and flash hider.

Ive always I wanted one of the SA58s last time i picked one up it was an orgasm in my hand. I also generally enjoy PEQ boxes. Think ill be going with the CA SA58 OSW.

Now onto stage two anybody want to help with a load out to fit these fat a$$ mags?
