I wanna save up for a 229. Does anybody have any brand recommendations? It would be great to have it be as realistic as possible, I want to use it to train for the coast guard.

2) go to shop by brand or pistol brand
3) select kjw
4) select whichever one you like
5) order it, and never look back
6) be awesome.
For those with a higher budget ($200+), simply change number 3 to Tokyo Marui, follow all other steps accordingly, thank you, have a nice day.

Most realistic would be KWA (KWA M229).
If you don't mind a few minor differences in comparison to the real steel as well as a better performing version in the airsoft world, KJW.
KWA is more 1:1 scale with the real steel in comparison to KJW. If it weren't for the fact that you wanted the closest to the real steel counter-part, I'd say KJW or TM.

Eh, I see what you're saying buster, my only gripe with kwa ( I have the m226 ) is the cycle rate, it's not really my only gripe, but it's a pain, it's relatively slow, somewhere between glock and USP, it's not bad, but the kjw seems to have a better cycle rates, I have shot them both side by side, the kjw was more snappy, though for realism, I have to agree, the kwa matches up a bit better, still, for skirmish ability, I'd take that kjw any day.theonlyBuster said:

Please read WHY I recommended the KWA. I never said the KWA was better performing, in fact I said the exact opposite.
