I am considering making the jump to GBB's and I was wanting some advice or input on how the guns compare to AEG's. I know the basics but those of you that have used both please give me your preference of weapon and why. Thanks.

For the most part it comes down to money.
Gas guns are not as cost efficient as electric guns. Magazines are more expensive, your have to keep them cleaned and oiled. You need to learn how to fix broken O-rings.
The plus side to gas is they're more realistic. You get the kick of the gun against your shoulder, going full auto your accuracy is decreased as with any real steel gun, you don't want to spray and pray because ammo is limited.

If realism is your thing, gas is the best way of going into it. If you're low on cash, stick to electric.

There are other things, but those are the main reasons to switch/stay with one over the other
