True, or you could just learn to take the pain. It isn't that hard after all. There have been plenty of times I just stand there and take the shots because I have grown too accustomed to ignoring the pain. But then again, I've been at this for more than 20 years and it was not always plastic bbs that were hitting me. I have played paintball, airsoft, and even wargames that used regular bb guns, but that is another story for another time.

I'm getting there its just 400 fps guns in CQb that hurt allot. I actually just took a shot from a foot away to the arm. Not sure the fps though.

Ah, you'll get use to it. I kind of have a small advantage, when I first started playing all those years ago, my buddies and I were so broke we couldn't afford the expensive stuff, so we started off using bb guns. We got tired of waiting around to play every time we got hit, so we stopped counting hits and started making it so you had to actually capture your opponent. So, all of us that played back then had to take hit after hit, and we didn't have minimum distance rules either.

So, after playing like this for 20 years, many of us, myself included, we just got use to it. Now we play with real airsoft guns, we stand there shooting or getting shot and it doesn't really phase us anymore. Yeah, we'll cuss about the pain or getting hit, but we just keep on playing. It sounds crazy, but that's how I developed a tolerance.

I'm not saying you need to follow my footsteps, but eventually you'll find what works for you. Pain is truly in our minds after all, so if you learn to ignore it or accept it and then move on, it gets easier to deal with as you go.

Good luck with your costume, if you have any pictures of the character I can probably help you figure it out, I'm kind of good with that kind of stuff. Check out my Batman costume thread in my signature.

That's brutal but awesome. I have some reference pictures on my computer I'll get though up later.
Where are you playing that allows 400 FPS indoors?
Phoenix tactical, they don't chrono guns.

Well, depending how you want to go about this, you are going to spend some cash. If you try to duplicate the suit exactly, you're probably going toned to make most of it by hand. Those plates and armor pieces will most likely need to be molded. Even if you just work at coming close, you'll probably need to buy a lot of various pieces and modify them heavily.

What exactly do you want to accomplish?

You could always go with a chaos theory Sam Fisher suit.

I'm debating how I want it to be. I want it looking good but don't have to much time to modify things. I want it to be unique but as close to the real deal as possible. The armour is going to be the hardest part to replicate that's for sure. Maybe some kind of plastic covered in the fabric and sewn into place? For the shoulders, elbows and knees maybe some kind of rubber for shock absorption.

Chaos theory looks good but to bland almost. To easily done.

Lol because I'm to splinter cell for everyone to know. Those who know I wanted to know. I put this threads under heavy encryption to keep out the eyes of my enemies. You where lucky to see it but now I must execute the fifth freedom.

The first thing I would suggest is to find some better reference pictures. You will need some fairly plain front, rear, and side images to show the details, such as the individual panels and pieces.

As for making the armor, it depends on how you want to go about it. If you haven't already, check out my Batman costume thread to see how I make my armor pieces. These are all cloth, but there are other methods for making them from plastic or foam.

It will depend greatly on you overall goal and level of detail you wish to achieve.
