Seen it, but I think in the use of airsoft it would be impractical due to the bulkiness.

 

Is this the armor you're looking to duplicate?

The vest is a standard crossdraw, very cheap and uterlly worthless for most players, except those on a tight budget and just starting out. As for the other parts, most of these are either custom made (for the movie) or modified sports equipment.

Attaching the armor pieces isn't all that difficult, finding the right pieces is, and more than likely they'll need to be painted because most sporting goods pads, etc. have logos and striping on them. Some sandpaper, masking tape, and spray paint work wonders.

Booger hit it with the vest, the rest of it you can pull off if you can find decently priced surplus or used police or corrections riot control gear. Good luck because the stuff is bulky and it gets HOT.

 

Have to agree with Vindi, that is one of the issues we have faced, the wearer is constantly overheating in even warm weather. Cooler weather was not so much an issue, but once it gets past March, for get it.

Although there is one alternative to this problem, it's called a cool suit (or something similar). Here are some examples.
