What to glue bushings in with?!

I'm trying to find the best substance to glue down 8mm bushings. However, I've been trying to google it for an hour, and everyone has different opinions. Some say plain superglue, some jb weld, some metal bonding epoxy, all purpose epoxy, and even actually welding it. Then there are those who say superglue is crap for this, epoxy is crap, this didnt work, loctite sucks, this is bad, this is good.

Its a massive jumble of disagreement and opinions.

Please, just someone tell me what to attach it with!

They are 8mm steel bushings to a full metal gb, and without anything fits nicely (not too loose or tight)

thx for any help in advance

Same here JB weld FTW, I went a little overboard on this one but it should look something like this.

If they fit so tight that I have to press or hammer them in, I use threadlock glue (Loctite), if they sit snugly but are inserted with little effort, I use CA (superglue) and if they are a bit loose, but not too loose, I use epoxy glue. This has worked very well for me so far, and I run relatively high stress setups.

I've always used Loctite or simple super glue. I tend to strain away from Epoxys in the even I break a bearing/bushing and need to replace it it's a bit easier to knock the glue loose and get the piece out.

Ok, thanks for all the help. I'll probably use jb-weld this time, and maybe that^ for other cases in the future.

What if you want to remove the bushings though? wouldn't it be hard to file it off in that small hole?

I have never actually used JB weld, and usually go with CA, which I remove with a sharp flat head screwdriver or an awl.

I've been using super glue(CA) for quite a few years. Make sure bushing holes and bushings are clean. I use finger nail polish remover and an old toothbrush to accomplish this and wipe completely dry. I also test fit the bushings in their respective holes to make sure they have a slightly loose fit. If not, I use some emery cloth to very carefully enlarge the holes. Re-clean if necessary. Also pipe cleaners placed inside the bushing aid in cleaning them since they're so small. I usually put all 6 bushings on a pipe cleaner while I clean them. weaps.
