Where to get parts for ASG Dan Wesson revolver?

Hey everyone.

I recently got an ASG Dan Wesson 715, and I found that the metal ring that seats the CO2 cylinder into the receiver is cracked. My gun was bleeding gas whenever I tried to load a new cylinder.

I removed the metal ring to try to fix it, and it turns out it's broken beyond repair. Such a shame for a brand new gun. Even worse, now that the ring is removed, I can't even tighten a new cylinder in before the entire thing drains.

I figured I'd just buy a new one but I can't find any parts listing or anything from ASG, and their website explicitly says they don't accept requests from consumers.

Am I really going to have to MacGuyver something to fix this, or is there someone that sells replacement parts?

The metal ring in question is atop the gun here, and it functions to tighten down that blue o-ring thing where the cylinder goes.

Its a disposable product - Wingun.

No one sells parts for these things, well not commonly found that is.

You will have to find another Wingun or Dan Wesson with another issue and replace that part from the doner hoping it's not broken with the same issue.

This is why you should not buy Airsoft guns that run on CO2 and are cheaply made and sold.

Owch. I always know that's a risk, but since I cut my teeth on WE GBBRs I'm used to replacing the ****ty parts when they break.

Bitter pill to swallow when you're from a country that legally treats airsoft guns as firearms and the procedure to import one is the same as for a real steel firearm.

Since I can't easily procure a replacement for the gun itself, I'm going to try to have to MacGuyver a replacement for that collar. Just as well I bought that Dremel a few months ago...

The two pistol makers to Avoid in Airsoft. Wingun and KWC Co2 products.

WE can be bad...but they try...Wingun and KWC don't try...the people that sell their products don't want them to try for it may increase costs and they want to fleece the buck off every unsuspecting client they can.

KWC is sold under many other names. EF1911, Cyber Products...all Current models around 100.00. $120.00+ range is something else.

Wingun is also sold under Dan Wesson and I think all other CO2 revolvers are theirs too.

At one point CYB was offering a 5 year warranty on their KWC products...I got that squashed quickly...leave it to the dummy who hired a marketing person with no experience in Airsoft what so ever and then try and defend her position about how CYB is selling quality products...they brainwashed her before she even started.

I knew they weren't stellar, but I wanted a full metal revolver with somewhat realistic operation, and as far as that goes they're about the only game in town.

I've poked Evike about it, mentioning that there's a 3 month warranty on the box, saying "I would prefer a repair service to a replacement given the difficulty of importation into New Zealand"... Let's see what they say. Maybe they can get me in touch with their upline distributor.

Sadly...they are the distributor. Anything upline from them is the factory.

Hey I had a broken DW 715 high power with a broken hammer spring and I counldn't find anything for years and complained on one of ASG's posts on instagram and a company in the US called EastCoastAirsoft reached out to me in DMs and said they could get ASG parts. I said I needed a hammer spring for my DW 715 and I paid $12 for the part and shipping and it finally came. Go instagram and search up EastCoastAirsoft and DM/PM them and ask if they can get you parts.

And that part cost the factory 3 cents...

My hint was take the remnants of your spring and try to find a match at a real hardware store. You know where they have an aisle of parts and small stuff....like springs.

Or post a picture of it next to a ruler...people will come our of the wood work with low cost alternatives.

Could you not maybe source a similar sized urethane or nylon bushing and use that in place of it?

I would imagine if you pierce the CO2 cartridge quick enough the bushing would seal in the gas.

That's my scientific wild arsed guess.

Except I would not use Urethane. You can inject oils and gases into urethane and cause them to swell (common issue in my CO2 paintball days when the Parker tanks had the white oring seals on the release valve).

I would use a soft Viton washer of an appropriate size.

I have several Win Gun/Dan Wesson 4.5 cartridges and I would like to convert them to 6mm airsoft. Do you know where I can get the 3D file to print just the rubber tips?
I want to use them in an Umarex Elite Force Smoke Wagon. I think the best way to do this is to print new 6mm tips to replace the original 4.5mm rubber ones. I will be very grateful if anyone can help me find a 3D file of this part.

Because it's a product that is not worth their time in supporting with bins of parts...

Not to mention that most Airsoft suppliers are almost a year behind on production and all resources are being focused on new runs...

You could try these guys (in the UK):

Bagnall & Kirkwood .co .uk

(sorry I can't post links yet as I don't have the requisite 3 posts completed)

They currently have a few green seals for Dan Wesson ASG, plus a seal replacement kit (1 left in stock I think) for Dan Wesson classic revolvers.

They have a lot of other spare parts as well, so a good place to look for parts generally, and you can do a search by manufacturer on their site.

There's also these guys (in France) -

univairsoft .com (search under internal parts "19959 repair kit for asg dan wesson")

again, I can't post links yet.

They have one seal repair kit left in stock as far as I can see.

That's all I've been able to come up with after hours of trawling sites to see the dreaded 'Out of Stock - we don't know when this item will be back in stock" message. I don't suppose there's much point buying a cheap broken Dan Wesson off someone else, because it's likely their seals will be gone as well.

Grab 'em while you can, I suppose!
